![]() The 808 Bass, if we are calling it a thing, in general, they are overly processed ripped samples from the TR-808. Some have attempted to create a so-called 808 bass machines which are commonly distributed for sale as a VSTi. So, I do acknowledge that there really is no such thing as an 808 bass machine or instrument. For instance, the "Metro Boomin 808 Drum kit." All of them are reprocessed drums samples. Some of these so-called 808 packs typically refer to popular artists such as Drake, Lil Pump, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Jay-Z, and Metro Boomin'. These clips can be used in your sampler to build loops or to be used on your controller. In that archive, you will find WAV file sample clips that are the 808 bass, 808 kicks, and so forth. When someone refers to a kit it sometimes means a compressed archive or file that has other files within it. I think the obvious answer would be the TR-808 which is hardware.
